One of the popular uses of astrology is to gain insight on romantic compatibility between two people. This is the first in a series of posts that will examine the Venus-Mars connection.

Traditionally the placement of the planets Venus and Mars in both horoscopes are consulted to determine the temperament and attraction factors. Venus rules the aspects that turn on our affections, while Mars rules the way we take action.

But in addition to this, the placements of these planets also influence the type of lover that melts our hearts. The placement of Mars in a woman’s chart indicates the type of man that she will find most attractive and the placement of Venus in a man’s chart indicates the type of woman that will appeal to him the most.
